Big Fish is rapidly gaining local and international recognition as one of the most industry-intensive film schools in the region, with the highest prospects of employment. With the help of expert professionals, we teach our students practical skills in a hands-on, intensive and project-focused environment, designed to reflect the realities of the workplace.

Our training techniques are advanced and uniquely orientated towards human development. Our courses encourage individual exploration in the form of life skills, personal finance, and entrepreneurial skills, as well as critical, conceptual and analytical thinking.

Students are encouraged to explore issues of social relevance including the environment, human rights, gender equity and cultural diversity in order to create socially-provocative films that challenge social structures and help to bring about a more cohesive society.

Classes are never bigger than 25 students per class to ensure all students receive the benefit of one-on-one training and personalised academic attention from award-winning industry mentors.

We choose 200 students every year for enrolment, using a stringent selection process that has proved effective in ensuring a no-to-low dropout rate. For education opportunities at Big Fish, please see our courses or contact our course coordinator for application details.
